Well after a week of buzz, and I mean social media buzz, provided by Honda, they have reached over 10.2 million views on their YouTube channel. Why go viral, or better yet a week early before one of the biggest days in advertising? Wouldn’t we like to know!!!! The method behind this madness may be because you are getting the viewership before the actual airing is going to hit the audience, twice, a big conversion or brand awareness for that matter.


The commercial spot is building on the classic movie featuring Bueller. You watch Ferris show what it’s like to play hookie all day in his CR-V. Building upon the Leap List marketing campaign, which is a massive success for Honda, and the full integration of Facebook which allows users to write what they are going to achieve this year. Just as Honda has achieved a successful re-design with this 4th generation CR-V.

TV is in a huge revitalization period right now. The TV guru’s are beginning to realize that in order to keep its viewership, they are going to have to begin utilizing social media as an additional outlet to help service the conversion of the commercial. We all know what it is like to be sporting our iPad on the couch with the TV on, while also texting and chatting on our iPhone. Basically, what that scenario equals is three screens of ad serving power! #BOOM
