The challenge with New York Liberty, the acclaimed womens’ basketball team that plays at Madison Square Garden, was to build interest in the team and stimulate ticket sales with a low ad budget. GMLV’s solution was to create a three month long turnkey promotional tour at sites in local parks, festivals, and amateur sports locations in the tri-state area which included fifty-five events, and fourteen brand ambassadors. The events received local newspaper ad support with unique negotiated cross-promotions at the Garden and a significant amount of bonus ad space for the team. This multi-level marketing approach netted a substantial increase in ticket sales immediately following the daily events.
